Deep golden to chocolate brown toned heartwood, deepening with age. Can have black/brown streaking. Often used in marine and outdoor applications thanks to its excellent weather resistance. Machines and works well but it's high silica content can dull blades, and as with all oily woods, glue up can be tricky
